One of the most successful magazines in the world boasts a really rich history, which only a minimum of millions of its readers knows. Hardly anyone knows that Vanity Fair was first published back in 1859 and in a certainly different form than it has today! The first issue of the magazine called Vanity Fair had released in New York from 1859 to 1863 and it was a humorous weekly magazine. In the years 1868-1914 Vanity Fair had released in the United Kingdom and in the meantime it returned to the US. There, in the form which we currently know, American Vanity Fair had released from 1913 to 1936 and Condé Montrose Nast was responsible for its publishing – he was also the founder of the publishing house of the same name. In 1983, the form of Vanity Fair from the 30s of the last century was renewed and since then, it has remained unchanged. Monthly focuses on fashion, politics and pop culture. Vanity Fair manages, despite its advanced age, to keep up with current trends and is very active in the online world. For example, in 2013, it launched its YouTube channel, which has almost 90,000 subscribers!
