Gran Estación is one of the well known, most important and fourth largest shopping centre in Colombia. Gran Estación is located between Avenida (Avenue) El Dorado and Avenida Esperanza in the residential and commercial neighborhood Ciudad Salitre in Bogota just few minutes bus drive from El Dorado International Airport. The mall was opened on December 1, 2006 and consists of two building complexes (El Costado Esfera and El Costado Alfiles) connected by metallic bridge. 

The mall features more then 370 shops, restaurants and specialty stores, 8 screens movie theatre and a casino. El Costado Esfera offers shoppers premium brands, such as Hugo Boss, Armani Exchange, Lacoste and iShop (a store that specializes in Apple products). It has a wide range of options: a food court, stores with Colombian artesanías (handicrafts), ice cream shops, cafes and banks, among others. El Costado Alfiles has the movie theatre, a casino, stores with popular american and colombian brands, bars, restaurants, and the park Kandú specially designed for children. 

The food court offers many dining options. Try pizza and breakfast at Archies, the Passion Fruit, the Creps and Waffles and the Angus churrasco at lenos y carbon. For entertainment visit The Multiplex Gran Estacion Cine Colombia which was opened in May 2007. It is the first cinema in Colombia equipped with digital projection. In May 2008, one of the screens was equipped with digital 3D equipment.
